MONTGOMERY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUMMIT 2006
22-24 May 2006
Wynlakes Country Club & Embassy Suites Hotel
Montgomery, Alabama

The Montgomery Chapter of AFCEA and the Headquarters Operations Sustainment and Systems Group at Gunter Annex in Alabama will be hosting it's annual Montgomery Information Technology Summit (MITS) 2006, Monday, 22 May thru Wednesday, 24 May in Montgomery, Alabama. This year's theme is "Air Force Network Operations; The Road Ahead". The summit consists of two activities; on Monday we will hold our annual partnership golf tournament at the Wynlakes Country Club to benefit the Educational Foundation. On Tuesday we will kick off our IT summit portion of the conference at the Embassy Suites Hotel. This day and a half will enable attendees to engage with speakers, panel members and other summit participants in understanding the roadmap the Air Force and DOD will be using for future Network Operations and Information Assurance. They will also refine their personal knowledge and skills in managing the environment and delivering and sustaining combat and mission support systems capabilities which meet future Network Operations and Information Assurance requirements and standards. Additionally, participants should have a better appreciation of the challenges associated with acquiring, developing, testing, fielding and sustaining enterprise applications and COTS solutions in the future Network Operations environment.

I encourage you to attend the week's activities and to become a sponsor for our event. Your continued support has enabled our organization to give over $200,000 to the educational community in Montgomery. I look forward to seeing you in May!

Thank you,

Charisse Diane Stokes
